Imagine Staffing Technology is searching for a Production Supervisor on behalf of their client in the Minneapolis-St. Paul area. The Production Supervisor is responsible for supervision and support of team members to ensure plant processes are followed to attain safety, quality, and production goals. Identifies problems or bottlenecks in production processes and resolves issues. Ensures production resources including materials, equipment and human resources are available as needed to achieve production schedules. Supports continuous improvement goals in safety, quality, cost and customer service. Supervises production operations according to established priorities and schedules. Oversees multiple lines and provides direction to assigned employees.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Operate within effective standard operating procedures (SOPs) to support employee and food safety, product quality, asset effectiveness, and workplace organization.
Provide employee coaching, mentoring and training to ensure that employees are performing job responsibilities effectively.
Oversee department specific sanitation operations as necessary to promote and maintain a clean and food-safe environment.
Maintain and enforce GMP standards.
Provide leadership for assigned production personnel to achieve their specific goals and objectives via continuous process improvement and alignment with the Companys values.
Ensure employee engagement, training, and development to maximize safety, quality, and productivity and ensure all quality standards, specifications and policies are met or exceeded.
Assure regulatory compliance including but not limited to OSHA, EPA, USDA, FDA, FLSA, EEO, OFCCP and NLRB.
Support a culture of inclusion based on open and honest dialogue, everyday learning, and continuous improvement.
Interact effectively to foster teamwork while encouraging and empowering others. Harness resultant energy, enthusiasm, and excitement of others to achieve organizational goals.
Evaluate subordinate performance, communicate with employees, and provide information for work performance improvement.
Execute the daily work schedule.
Attend production and shift review meetings.
Respond to employee concerns and / or issues.
Ensure all daily manufacturing documents are completed and accurate.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelors degree or equivalent manufacturing experience in a food manufacturing environment required.
3 years of Food or pharmaceutical manufacturing experience preferred.
Strong mechanical aptitude to operate and troubleshoot manufacturing equipment.
Ability to work weekends and/or shift work (flexible to switch between 1st, 2nd or 3rd shift according to production schedule) with a strong work ethic and proven leadership skills.
A self-motivated individual that is able to coach, mentor, and train others.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, problem solving, organizational, and follow through skills.
